Ho Chi Minh Trip (Free and Easy 5D4N) Part 4 - Cu Chi Tunnel

Cu Chi Tunnel

Early morning, we check out the hotel and take a van to Cu Chi Tunnel.

Cu Chi network covers a wide area of countryside near to Ho Chi Minh city and was an excellent way for the Viet Kong to move undetected by American forces underground. 
The Cu Chi tour starts with an introductory video detailing its long 25-year construction.

Then it is time to go underground in the 120-mile Cu Chi tunnel system which give a safe place for soldiers and thousands of Vietnamese people during the Vietnam War. The tunnel is make to suit Vietnamese body size which is small compare to US army which has big body size.





On display are booby traps, the remains of a US army tank and huge craters left by American B52 bombs. 











Vietnamese use the unexploded bomb to make weapons for them to fight against US army.

Open up the bomb and take the powder to make bullets and small bombs.

After the half day Cu Chi Tunnel tour, we go to airport directly and ready to leave Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh Trip (Free and Easy 5D4N) Part 3 - Golden Dragon Water Puppet Show & Bonsai Dinner Cruise on Saigon River

From Mui Ne back to Ho Chi Minh City, 5 hours journey and reach around 5pm.

We proceed to Golden Dragon Water Puppet Show.





Bonsai Dinner Cruise on Saigon River

After the Water Puppet Show, we having our dinner at Bonsai Cruise on Saigon River. Enjoy this unique dinner experience, the perfect way to soak up the activity of the Saigon River. The boat is double deckered. There is live music, singing, and dancing on all decks.  You also get a great view of Ho Chi Minh City at night, which looks quite beautiful. The food is fair only.

It took about 2 and half hour on the cruise. Then, we go back to hotel afterward.

Ho Chi Minh Trip (Free and Easy 5D4N) Part 2 - Mui Ne


Mui Ne

We take a bus from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne at 8am and reached around 1pm.

Inside the bus. The seat arrangement is laying. 1st time saw this.


 

Fairy Spring

We arrived Mu Nei, the jeep that we booked before is waiting for us at Hotel. So, we started our trip to Fairy Spring.

There is nice beach along the way to Fairy Spring.



Walking with bare foot along the Suoi Tien Spring (Fairy Spring/stream). The sand is very soft and comfortable walk with bare foot. Amazing experience.


Many interesting geological features. The shapes and formations in rainbows of black, grey, white, red, orange and gold. Is is a nice surprise.

 After the fairy stream, next destination will be White Sand Dunes.

After these, we go back to the hotel and having our seafood dinner beside the road. The seafood here are fresh and nice. And most importantly, the price is cheap. Must try.... If you are not vegetarian.






This is the end of the Mui Ne Tour. The next morning, we walk around the beach area and along Huynh Thuc Khang road.

Afternoon around 12pm, we depart from Mui Ne back to Ho Chi Minh City.
